Antony Mayfield is Founding Partner at Brilliant Noise, a digital strategy agency working with brands including Nokia,   Kiddicare/Morrisons, University of Warwick and Picturehouse Cinemas.

He is the author of the best-selling book on how to manage personal reputation online, Me and My Web Shadow, which has been published in several countries by Bloomsbury.

In 2006, he founded the content and social media teams at iCrossing, which became the largest independent digital marketing firm in the world, before being sold to Hearst Media in 2010. Prior to iCrossing, Antony spent a decade in journalism and corporate communications, most recently as a director in the Bell Pottinger Group.

Marketing and Technology Executive Director

Benjamin is a social technologist and serial entrepreneur. He has worked in the on-line world since the mid 1980′s. He has worked with companies including Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks in Silicon Valley, and on projects with Microsoft, IBM and Motorola.

Benjamin is mainly known for his roles at Redcatco and SocialOptic, and his support for start ups and growing UK digital businesses – predominately though the Digital Mission with Chinwag and the UKTI.

He makes the occasional appearance on Radio and TV, explaining the way that technology is changing the how businesses work, and also contributes to a number of blogs and print publications.

Cat Jones, Head of Business Development at Unruly, is responsible for new product developments and business opportunities, including product marketing strategies. Over the last nine months she's been creating, launching and leading the new Unruly Labs product suite, including Unruly ShareRank.

Cat has been with Unruly for four years, having joined in 2009, and has worked in various roles across the business, from media acquisition to sales. Before Unruly, she spent a couple of short spells consulting for Accenture Development Partnerships.

Chris used to work as Global Advertising & Digital Lead for the Asia Pacific/Greater China Region in Microsoft’s Worldwide Corporate Marketing Group, before he joined Nokia in October 2009 first as regional Head of Consumer Engagement for Southeast Asia and Pacific and today works as ‘VP, Digital Marketing & CRM, Nokia’ in London.

Leveraging his extensive experience in Germany, US and 11 years in Asia, he has worked with almost every MNC harnessing the power of digital media. Chris has more than 14 years of multimedia production and digital marketing consulting experience, and has participated in more than 160 Internet-related projects. These include strategy/concept, online media strategy (planning, buying and optimization), complete web site architecture development process and maintenance, proprietary applications development as well as mobile & entertainment solutions for the music industry.

In his current role, Chris leads all things Digital and intends to write the next chapter of Nokia's Digital success story, by leveraging his extensive experience of Digital Transformation work from his time in Microsoft and Nokia Southeast Asia & Pacific to further extent Nokia’s global digital practice.

He’s a passionate Blogger (, Internet Evangelist and has spoken at over 100 conferences around the world and has conducted over 50 Digital Marketing Workshops, training over 1,500 practitioners.

Alongside Rory Sutherland and Jez Groom, Dan works with some of the biggest brands implementing behavioural science, social psychology and cognitive psychology to their marketing.

Initially Dan capitalised on the insight that framing an inferior version of a choice increases the demand for the original option by sending through both a good and a bad version of his CV.

Keep your eyes peeled for Dan’s latest publications on how Nudging may curb the obesity crisis and just why it is so annoying to overhear a mobile phone conversation.

The Psychometrics Centre, University of Cambridge / myPersonality

David is Research Manager at The Psychometrics Centre, University of Cambridge and creator of myPersonality.

While researching for his PhD in cognitive decision-making, David created a Facebook application called myPersonality that provides real psychological questionnaires and gives users feedback on their results. This startup’s aim is to improve marketing by adding an understanding of the personality of customers.

As a Research Associate at the Psychometrics Centre David currently collaborates with researchers in different disciplines to mine the myPersonality database for interesting research findings, one of which is the machine learning group at Microsoft Research

Co-founder and CEO

Fabian is the co-founder and CEO of EyeQuant: a neuroscience-meets-online marketing spin off of the California Institute of Technology based in Berlin. Fabian started his career as a BizDev manager at Lijit Networks, Inc. (acquired by Federated Media Publishing for $100M in 2011).


He studied Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrueck and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology

Professor of Developmental Psychology

Karen Pine is Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, a member of the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Scientist.

She gained her PhD in 1997 and has also written a number of popular books, including Sheconomics and Flex: Do Something Different. Karen has been instrumental in transitioning her academic approach to behaviour change into something that is radically transforming people's lives, be it flexibility at work or personal happiness. In 2010, with a team of psychologists and digital experts, she founded ‘Do Something Different’, a company using technology to profile people and deliver a personalised change programme in the form of small positive actions to their smartphone or inbox.

Karen believes in ‘walking the talk’ - her aim is to make the world a better place by getting one million people doing something different.

Cognitive-Behavioural Economist and CEO

Leigh is a behavioural economist and in the mid-2000s was one of the first to apply this scientific field in the commercial world. 

He has founded and run several businesses in technology and professional services, and recently condensed his experience in pricing into a new book "The Psychology of Price", published by Crimson in November 2012.

He writes the Pricing Revolution and Knowing and Making blogs, and regularly features as an economics commentator on BBC News, Radio 4, Research Magazine and other media. He is a partner at The Irrational Agency and CEO of Inon.

Business Director

In her 8 years at Ogilvy, Marina has worked across a number of UK and global accounts from Castrol and Chiquita Bananas to Dove, when she worked on the global relaunch of Dove Hair.  She then went on to spend three years leading the Ford UK team across all of their communications.

Marina has always had a passion for Behavioural Economics and is a Business Director for #ogilvychange. She also runs the Ogilvy Group Fellowship scheme.

The Web Psychologist

Nathalie Nahai is a Web Psychologist best-selling author of ‘Webs of Influence: The psychology of online persuasion' (Pearson). 

With a background in psychology and digital strategy, she is one of the few leaders in this field to have both academic and hands-on experience in engineering online persuasion.

European Chief Planning Officer

Simon joined Draftfcb 8 months ago as European Chief Planning Officer and European lead for the Institute of Decision making. His role is to bring the latest learning from the world of Cognitive Science into the world of advertising to create more exciting and effective campaigns.

Prior to joining Draftfcb, Simon worked at Grey as Head of Planning and Managing Director. Under his guidance Grey won Euro Effie Strategy Agency of the Year 2012 and was the most awarded agency at the IPA Effectiveness Awards in 2009.

Stephen Haggard is Business Director at Cambridge Personality Research. The company leverages clients' business processes and data in applications such as display advertising, marketing, consumer, CRM, publishing and e-commerce.

Stephen was a former editor of BBC's Newsnight, and was Head of Digital Projects at Mentorn, the makers of Question Time. Outside his work with Cambridge, he is a strategy consultant for several data-driven businesses.
